Darfur...

I don't know what else to do than help spread the word to get others aware of what is going on over there and to pray for these people, to pray that God protects them and that He is in that place, however possible.

I get the Sudan Divestment Task Force newsletter from the Genocide Intervention Network on a weekly basis. This was the article in this morning's newsletter...

Warren Buffett Dumps PetroChina
Berkshire Hathaway, the holding company for Warren Buffett, recently reported the massive sale of additional shares in PetroChina, the listed arm of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), Sudan's largest oil partner. Since July, Berkshire Hathaway has sold over 1 billion shares in the company and has reduced its holdings in the company by over 50%. It has been speculated that Berkshire Hathaway may be completely shedding its ownership in the company.
The massive sale of PetroChina follows robust engagement by the Sudan Divestment Task Force and its partner organizations, the Save Darfur Coalition and Investors against Genocide, with Berkshire Hathaway. At this year's annual meeting Mr. Buffett's position on his PetroChina holdings was that the investment had no links to the atrocities occurring in Sudan. At the time Berkshire Hathaway was second largest investor in the company, after the Chinese government. A Sudan Divestment Task Force report, PetroChina, CNPC, and Sudan: Perpetuating Genocide, released in April clearly demonstrated the indistinguishable connection, both legally and otherwise, between PetroChina and CNPC, and the destructive role of the companies in Sudan.
The Sudan Divestment Task Force commends Berkshire Hathaway's recent sale and encourages the company to issue a public announcement addressing concerns about PetroChina's connection to ongoing conflict in Sudan. Click
