Mohammed the Teddy Bear

I find this crazy...because from what I understand the religion of Islam was founded as a peaceful religion for people to worship Allah in their own way...here's why I say that...

I read on msnbc.com that a Brittish teacher in the Sudan asked her students what was their favorite name for their new clas mascot , a teddy bear; they answered "Mohammed", like any Muslim-raised 7 year old would. So, because of the teddy bear mascot named Muhammad, she has been arrested for "insulting Islam." After avoiding the punishment of 40 lashes, she has been sentenced to 15 days in prison and deportation, but many many Sudaneese Muslims are pushing for her to be executed. Scores of people have been protesting and picketing in the streets for her death.

The British government has sent 2 lawyers to plea her case...they are working on that now...

Pray for that teacher...pray that God intervene and protect her while she is in the hands of these Muslims. Pray that this doesn't escelate into an international crisis...pray that Muslims don't get hated more because of these few who aren't being true to the goodness that their religion teaches them.
