Plane Crash in the Congo

A plane taking off from the Goma airport in eastern Congo crashed moments later, at the foot of the runway into a crowded neighborhood today. It was headed to the capitol city. The Democratic Republic of the Congo (formally Ziare), has had 10 plane crashes just since February 2007, according to the Aviation Safety Network, and 76 people have died, before today's tragedy. The cause of the crash was not blamed on the weather or human error, it is suspected to be an overloaded cabin.

"This is the third-largest country in Africa, as big as Western Europe, and yet you don't even have 2,000 miles of roads," Saiki said. "So basically most of the transportation in such a big country is done by air."

Keep these families and all those affected in you thoughts and prayers today, this is going to be a hard day for them, I am sure.
